Battle of the Bay Race–October 29,30 2011

I got an email today, announcing the Battle of the Bay SUP Race and Expo.  I love San Francisco, and ever since I got in to Stand Up, I have always wanted to paddle there.  This looks like a great event and the Cash Purse is reported to be $20,000.  Sounds like some real money.  Since it is way out in October, there is plenty of time to start saving.   If you can only go to a couple of events per year, this looks like one you shouldn’t skip.

In addition to an Elite Class race, there will be an Amateur Race, and a Kids race.  Aside from the races, there will be a Manufactures Expo too.

Click the link below to check it out.  It is actually a pretty nice site, considering it was built just to promote a race.
